Margot NIederland’s work is a voyage into surrealism, traversing photojournalism and observations of the human condition. After one of her exhibits in Boston, Popular Photography Magazine equated her work with that of Judy Dater, Elliot Erwitt, and Diane Arbus, ending their review with the codicil that her work is ‘delightfully bittersweet’.

Margot Niederland is a multi-disciplinary artist in photography, film, and assemblage, who began her career as a free-lance photojournalist in the Middle East. Upon returning to the USA, she continued working as a photographer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Tufts University and several publishing houses.
