Paper Makers

A mixed media painter, Kate Rivers works primarily with cast-off materials. She collects old books, advertisements, maps, letters and consumer tags.   Using hand and machine stitching, her work is constructed from those discarded material to reveal patterns and landscape images.

Kate Rivers is an artist, living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  She is represented by  David Anthony Fine Art in Taos.  Her work in private and pubic collections throughout the US. It  can also be seen regionally at JRB at the Elms in Oklahoma City, and Joseph Gierek Fine Art in Tulsa.
