Virginia Maksymowicz (b. 1952, NYC) is a sculptor based in Philadelphia. She received a B.A. in Fine Arts from Brooklyn College and an M.F.A. in Visual Art from UC San Diego. Her work has been exhibited at the Franklin Furnace, Elizabeth Foundation and Grey Gallery; the Alternative, Michener, Woodmere and Delaware museums; the Delaware Center for Contemporary Arts; and SACI Gallery in Florence, Italy.

Maksymowicz is a past recipient of an NEA fellowship, and has been reviewed in Sculpture Magazine, The New York Times, and The Philadelphia Inquirer. She has been a visiting artist at the American Academy in Rome, and a fellow at the Vermont Studio Center.   http://www.maks-arts.com
