Marion Held

Robe

LONG ROBE Hand sewn organdy and silk with drawing, collage and printed image, 2013 55″ x 25″ x 6″

Marion Held is a figurative sculptor, but instead of depicting the body in a literal sense , she is interested in its representation as a metaphor. This group of work, the DRESS PROJECT is ephemeral; hanging freely in the air, anatomical images are drawn on sheer fabrics as they move with air currents catching light in unexpected ways.
